WORKWORKWORKWORKWOW

Constantly juggling between the identity of a designer who photographs and a photographer who designs, Ankita is a communication designer, an aspiring design fabulist and an artist, based in Geneva, Switzerland. The inertia of her design/artistic practice is in motion towards creating work that matters — work that informs, engages and stimulates the audience.

Wanting to make a difference, she strives to be kind and empathetic. Given the complexity and overload of information in this ever-changing world, her greatest interest, as a wearer of different hats, is to explore how to make this information accessible and easily comprehensible through various media.

Artistically, she is one of the ten co-founders and artists of Collectif Kimera, the artist collective that founded and manages the art space, Espace Dukat in Carouge, Switzerland. Professionally, she works at the World Trade Organization. Educationally, she holds an MA in Space and Communication Design from HEAD Geneva and a B.Des in Fashion Communication, NIFT Kolkata. It is here where she won the best Graduation Project in the Dept. of Fashion Communication among all 15 centres of the National Institute of Fashion Technology, India.

Additionally, she has collaborated with esteemed institutions such as the Financial Times, National Geographic Photo Camp, WIRED, Dorling Kindersley (a div. of Penguin Random House), Imperial College London, and the Ministry of Textiles (Government of India). She is also a member of NEAR, Swiss Association for Contemporary Photography.
